Maintaining the chain of custody on evidence is of utmost importance in the successful prosecution of a case in court. Besides proper packing and labeling of the package, it is still important to be able to look at the evidence when it is out of the package to positively identify it as having come from the scene of the crime.
Frequently, in court, the District Attorney will have removed the evidence from the package and hand it to you on the stand. You should put your initials, case number, date and time somewhere on the piece of evidence. Our diamond-tip scriber can help you with that task.
The 5 1/2" retractable-point diamond-tip scriber can be used to mark your initials, date and case number on hard metal objects or glass surfaces. Replacement tips are available
