Serum Separation (Clotting Activator)
After blood collection, the sample will normally clot within 20 to 30 mins. A clotting activator is coated onto plastic barrier beads which, due to their specific density, form a layer between the blood clot and serum sample after centrifugation.
The serum sample is suitable for all routine clinical chemistry and serological investigations.
For the physical separation of serum from the blood clot after centrifugation we recommend our Seraplas filters.
