1,2-Indanedione works as well as or better than DFO. Prints developed with 1,2-Indanedione can be visualized at 530nm with filtration between 570-590nm. Like Ninhydrin, 1,2-Indanedione prints treated with zinc chloride will show an increase in fluorescence.
