Gelatine Fingerprint Lifters White 13 cm x 18 cm

White Gellifters for Fingerprint and Trace Evidence Recovery

Gelatine Fingerprint Lifters White 13 cm x 18 cm provide forensic investigators with an effective method for recovering fingerprints, dust marks and trace evidence. The specialist gelatin layer combines a clean white surface with a smooth high-gloss finish. As a result, darker recovered material can create excellent visual contrast for examination, photography and forensic documentation.

Crime Scene Investigators, fingerprint specialists and forensic laboratories can use these flexible lifters for many evidence recovery applications. In addition, the low-adhesive gelatin surface makes close contact with suitable surfaces and helps collect transferable material.

White Gellifters for High-Contrast Evidence Recovery

The white gelatin surface offers an important advantage during forensic examination.

Its glossy finish reflects light from the examination or photography source. Meanwhile, darker material collected by the lifter remains clearly visible against the light background.

Consequently, recovered evidence can stand out with strong contrast.

This effect can make fine detail easier to see, examine and photograph.

White Gellifters for Fingerprint Recovery

White Gellifters work particularly well when investigators need to recover and document darker fingerprint powders or other darker trace material.

For example, black fingerprint powder can produce detailed impressions when transferred onto the white gelatin surface. Ridge detail and other characteristics can then become easier to distinguish under suitable lighting.

Furthermore, investigators can photograph the lifted mark directly on the contrasting surface. This supports accurate documentation and subsequent forensic examination.

Flexible Gelatin Surface

The flexible gelatin layer allows the lifter to follow small variations in the surface underneath.

Therefore, examiners can use it on many suitable surfaces that may prove difficult for conventional rigid lifting materials.

Applications can include:

• Fingerprint powder recovery
• Dust mark lifting
• Trace evidence collection
• Fine particulate recovery
• Footwear impression examination
• Crime scene photography
• Forensic comparison work
• Practical forensic training

Investigators should always assess the evidence and substrate before selecting a lifting technique.

White Gellifters for Trace Evidence

Trace evidence can consist of very small quantities of transferable material. Therefore, good contact between the recovery material and the surface can prove important.

The flexible gelatin layer helps achieve this contact. At the same time, its low-adhesive properties allow investigators to recover fine material from suitable surfaces.

The white background then provides strong contrast for darker powders, dust and particulate evidence.

As a result, White Gellifters can support both evidence recovery and subsequent visual examination.

Clear Results for Forensic Photography

Forensic photography plays an important role in recording recovered evidence.

The combination of a high-gloss finish and white surface helps produce clear visual separation between darker lifted material and the background.

Furthermore, suitable lighting can enhance the appearance of fine detail. This makes the recovered impression easier to photograph for documentation, examination or comparison.
